Rebuilding a Voron 2.4 in a week
A photo-heavy write-up of pulling apart a working V2 and refactoring it end-to-end for quieter operation and a bigger build volume.
Two years after the original build, everything still worked, but I wanted 350×350 and noticed the gantry was picking up resonance on corners. Full rebuild log below.
Frame
Stripped back to bare extrusions, replaced all drop-in T-nuts with linear nuts, and re-squared against an A2 ground plate.
Motion
Swapped to AWD closed-loop steppers on X/Y. Klipper input shaper reported a 3x improvement in resonance headroom.
