MakerPlex is the trading name of Smart Innovate Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16415589). Our registered office is at 60 Dane Road, Coventry, CV2, United Kingdom.

What we collect

When you place an order or create an account, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and shipping address
  • Your phone number (when supplied for delivery)
  • Order history and payment confirmations from Stripe (we do not see or store your card details)
  • Tracking information from Royal Mail when your order is dispatched
  • Basic browsing data through our server logs (IP address, user agent, pages visited) for security and abuse prevention

How we use it

  • To fulfil and ship your orders
  • To send order confirmation, dispatch, and delivery emails
  • To provide a downloads area for any digital files you have purchased
  • To respond to support enquiries
  • To keep records required by UK tax and consumer protection law

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe processes your card payment. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and never shares full card details with us.
  • Royal Mail Click & Drop receives the recipient address and order reference so we can ship your order.
  • Our hosting provider stores the website data on UK or EU servers.

We do not transfer personal data outside the UK or EU without appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

  • Order records: 7 years (UK tax requirement)
  • Account data: until you ask us to delete it
  • Support emails: 2 years
  • Server logs: 30 days

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can:

  • See a copy of the data we hold on you
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your account and personal data (orders may be retained for tax purposes in anonymised form)
  • Object to any processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the cart, checkout, and login to work. We do not use marketing or tracking cookies.
